Severe storms impacted multiple counties and cities in the eastern, northern, and central parts of the state on April 11-12, 2024. The heavy rainfall caused downed trees, road closures, landslides, flooding, and property damage in West Virginia.

Governor Justice amended a State of Emergency to include Boone, Braxton, Calhoun, Clay, Doddridge, Gilmer, Harrison, Jackson, Logan, Mingo, Ritchie, Roane, Tyler, Wayne, Wirt and Wood Counties in the State of Emergency declared on April 2, 2024.
